A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Bro. Dedrick Johnson

Greetings:

On behalf of the Iota Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., it is my distinct honor to welcome you to our website. .Since our chartering on November 11, 1966, in Cocoa, Florida, our chapter has been steadfast in upholding the fraternity’s aims of “Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love For All Mankind.”

Our nine visionary founders—Brothers Charles Walker, Rudolph Slaughter, Frank Williams, Lewis Moton, Leo Lewis, Horace C. Boyer, Lonnie Blocker, James Gollman, and Stephen Mickle—recognized the need for a strong bond of brotherhood in Brevard County. They laid a foundation rooted in service, leadership, and academic excellence, which continues to guide us today.

In alignment with Alpha Phi Alpha’s national programs, we are dedicated to:
      • Developing Leaders: Through mentorship and professional development, we strive to cultivate the next generation of trailblazers.
      • Promoting Academic Excellence: Our “Go to High School, Go to College” initiative encourages and supports local youth in pursuing higher education.
      • Providing Service and Advocacy: We actively engage in community service projects and partner with organizations to address pressing societal issues, including voter education and civic participation.

We invite you to explore our website and social media platforms to learn more about our programs, events, and initiatives. Your support and participation are invaluable as we work together to make a positive impact in our community.

To our Alpha brothers seeking a chapter home, we extend a warm invitation to join us. Please contact us at brevard.alphas06@gmail.com, and we will welcome you in the true spirit of brotherhood.

Thank you for visiting our website. We remain committed to the legacy of our founders and to the continuous pursuit of excellence in all our endeavors.

Fraternally,

Dedrick M. Johnson
President, Iota Beta Lambda Chapter
